It seems like every blogging service I look into is blocked in mainland China. What services can I use – that are preferably in English – while studying abroad there?

All foreign blogging sites are blocked in China due to the risk of strange content.

Blogging is among the greatest wastes of time ever invented. No one cares what anyone else writes or thinks. Blogging is a self-indulgent habit of self-absorbed people.

I’m in shanghai right now, and WordPress has been working just fine.

I’ve had the same difficulties while living here. No facebook, no twitter, no youtube etc.

Although I have found that myspace.com is not blocked. You may need to download Google Chrome(web browser) to translate some of the main stuff, otherwise everything else is fine.

Hope you have fun in China.
