Question by ambrosiablossom: What blogging services are allowed in mainland China? I’m looking for one to use while traveling abroad. Help?
It seems like every blogging service I look into is blocked in mainland China. What services can I use – that are preferably in English – while studying abroad there?
Answer by Cultural Insight
All foreign blogging sites are blocked in China due to the risk of strange content.
Blogging is among the greatest wastes of time ever invented. No one cares what anyone else writes or thinks. Blogging is a self-indulgent habit of self-absorbed people.

Question by KnightlyScribe: Why would I want to pay for TypePad blogging when I can use the other free services?
I was looking at their website, but I don’t think that TypePad offers anything different from those free blogging websites, such as Blogger and WordPress. So what (if anything) am I missing?? THANK YOU!
Answer by webmailz
There is no mystery here. You are not missing anything. It’s simply the old rule of why would you pay for something that you can get for free somewhere else?

Question by Justin N: What are some good blogging services to use in the classroom?
I teach grade 3/4 and I’m looking to embed social media and tech in my program. I’m looking at some different blogging platforms such as Blogster, edublogs, posteriors, blogmeister etc. I’m also looking at some social networking platforms that I could use such as edmodo that are more closed and are more collaborative. If you use something like this in your class or have looked into this topic please share some of your ideas.

I recommend using wikispace.
