How can I embed posts from WordPress to my HTML website?

Question by Gel: How can I embed posts from WordPress to my HTML website?
I don’t want to change my current website just to match my WordPress.
Is it possible to embed just the post itself, just like cutenews?

Thank you.

You could take the rss feed from your wordpress site and add code on your html site to display the rss feed.

Google something like “add rss feed to web page” to get specifics of how to accomplish this.

How to display the time when you publish posts on WordPress?

Question by Nodoudt: How to display the time when you publish posts on WordPress?
How do you display the time you publish a post on WordPress? Usually it seems only show the date but not the time. Do I have to have a custom theme to do it? Right now I’m using a theme I found on WordPress so I don’t know what steps I’d take to also add the time (like make it Wednesday, June 22, 2010 at 9:15 pm) to when I publish posts. Step by step instructions would be valuable :)

Some themes are set to display the full timestamp, others aren’t.

You want a string like this:

Posted: at

It has to fit into The Loop, preferably in place of your existing call to “the_time”.

Pop into your theme editor and substitute in Main Index Template, Single Post and Archive. (If you don’t have a theme editor, you’re on wordpress.com and you can’t do any of this stuff.)

What are some good blogging sites where your posts are actually read by others daily?

Question by Taylor: What are some good blogging sites where your posts are actually read by others daily?
I’m a writer and I would love to have people’s opinions on my work. Does anyone know any good blogging sites?
Twitter is not a blogging site and the only way people see your work on twitter is if they follow you. Twitter and Facebook are not answers that I am looking for. Thank you for your input.

How can I transfer my blog from wordpress to blogger and still keep all my posts?

Question by LyssaRie: How can I transfer my blog from wordpress to blogger and still keep all my posts?
I’ve been writing on WordPress for a while now, but I prefer to use Blogger after reading so many blogs on that site. Is there a way I can transfer my posts to Blogger from WordPress and not lose any of my information? I’m not necessarily interested in keeping the blog name, so that isn’t an issue. I just don’t want to lose my posts. Please help!

You should be able to import the RSS feed from WordPress.

Go to the import settings on Blogger and if they ask for the feed URL, you would give them something like: http://yourURL.com/?feed=rss2

Best,

Will
