You edit your theme so that the comments always show.

What Instances can cause my comments on my website to disappear in a wordpress theme?

Question by Oxford Moron: What Instances can cause my comments on my website to disappear in a wordpress theme?
I am sincerely NOT trying to get traffic or a link by asking this very important question. But for you to answer this question, you will need to look at 7o.net. That is the site that my comments have disappeared on. 7o had accumulated a large quantity of real comments from real people. I built the site myself and have added some plug-ins as I go along. I continually get messages from wordpress telling me to go approve comments. BUT…There are no comments showing to the public nor to approve in my wordpress dashboard. This occurred a few months ago but I have not the time til’ know to deal with it.
Absolutely any probabilities possible are welcomed. I WILL choose a best answer to the one who leads me to the answer in the simplest fashion. But “simplest fashion does not refer to short answers. More info the better IMO. Thanks in advance. I ALWAYS get my answers when I ask the audience at yahoo.
Inda Cloud. I will do all you suggest and report back tomorrow.

I don’t see my comments when I go to 7o.net. I do see your comment test in my dashboard though. I wonder why you can see my comments and I can’t. Ideas?

If I look at your comment feed, it shows comments between 9/2011 and 9/2012, and that’s only 10 comments or so.

You need to make sure that:

Comments are not getting blacklisted. Look under Settings/Discussion in your wordpress backend.

Make sure that you have enabled commenting: Settings – Discussion – Default article settings – check on Allow people to post comments on new articles.

Make sure you don’t have Automatically close comments on articles older than x days turned on(under settings/discussion)

Might want to see if Anyone can register is checked under Settings/General.

Make a couple of comments and see if they show up. Switch themes. If they show up in another theme, your current theme isn’t set to allow them (but I doubt this is the issue.)

You need, no MUST update your version of wordpress.

Check and make sure you’re not out of space with your hosting provider.

I did put in a test comment – it says it’s awaiting moderation so this end is working fine.

What is a blogging site that allows you to sync with facebook for comments?

Question by Hannah R: What is a blogging site that allows you to sync with facebook for comments?
I’m looking to start a food blog and i would like for my friends to be able to log on and comment through their facebook accounts so they don’t need to make an account on the chosen blogging site to comment. What are some FREE blogging sites that allow you to use your facebook to comment?
